In a nutshell...

As I've been missing from cyberspace for a while, here's a quick catch up and also a chance for me to realise how errrm chock full my life is!

Ice ice baby....

The Dancing on Ice tour was great. Torvil and Dean opened with the Bolero, which I managed to get a sneaky picture of. The first tour though still remains the best one I've seen. Probably because it was new and we didn't know what to expect. Of course the format doesn't change, but the professional skaters continually steal the show with some amazing routines.

Films I've seen...

I'm a big Scifi fan I'll admit, but I just can't get into Star Trek, something which my fellow Trekkie friends find hard to believe because I'm such a Sci-Fi nut. However the remake (or re-imagining) of the original film was excellent! Full on action, great effects and a story that goes back to the beginning so you don't have to know anything about the Star trek universe. If like me yo just want a good space adventure, you'll love it. If you are a Trekkie, you'll love it even more.

X-Men Origins- Wolverine was great also. A big surprise as I didn't think it was going to be. Kept faithful to the original series and explained a lot.

Went to see Night at the Museum 2 tonight. Not bad, not as good as the first, but fun all the same.

Chicago...

I'm off to Florida in October, can't wait. It turns out that Kylie is doing her first ever tour in America around that time...honestly had no clue! So we are taking a 3 day detour from Florida and flying to Chicago to see her. Never been there before and it's somewhere I've always wanted to go, plus the added bonus is we'll be going to see Kylie live in a 2500 capacity venue. Something that's impossible to do in the UK. Really looking forward to this part of our holiday. The cost is what we would be spending on some of the theme parks (Disney) so we won't be going to those. That way the expense won't add up too much.

and finally...

Thought the final of American Idol was drawn put way too much, although the amount of stars they had on was very impressive. I actually thought Kris was the best on the night. So I'm glad he won.

Oh and Ben has finally been fired from The Apprentice....whoo-hoo!

  1. Hey good pic of Torville and Dean, and sounds great going to see Kylie in such a small place - like that KT Tunstall gig - miles better than the massive Snow Patrol one.
It was good Ben went but they were so nice to him on the after show, and Howard - he was quite sweet really. I really don`t know who I want to win now as kate showed a not so good different side to herself last night. The interview rounds are horrible, but fun to watch. Why do people put themselves through it?

  2. I think the neue is actually smaller than The Apollo, so it should be intersting. Only thing is it's an all standing event.

I thought they were too nice to him really, although the last few weeks he did seemt o calm down a bit, he still waa compelte idiot though.I think Howard went because Siralan thinks Lorraine and Kate are stronger candidates. Maybe if he'd been up against the others it would have been different.

I'm torn between Lorraine, Kate and James to win. They all have good and bad points.
