Weekend of mystery...

The last few weeks haven't been the best. For various reasons. So I'm looking forward to the weekend. Off to see Martina Mcbride in London of Friday, on my own, but still!

Then Saturday we are off on Ian's "weekend of mystery fun". None of us could decide in April what to get him for his birthday. So we all chipped in and paid for a train ticket a hotel and a evening meal in a mystery location. Hpe the rains stays away.

(location will be revealed at a later date....just in case)

Hoping to upload some of my Italy pics on the way down to London.

Too much of a harry?

Got to see the latest Harry Potter film last night. I enjoyed it although not the most action packed of the series. There were a few good action scenes and some genuine tense ones. There was more story to be told, although I did feel it was rushed and seemed to miss out loads. The revelation regarding who the Half Blood Prince was seemed to be just thrown away. If memory serves the book went into why the person was called THBP, although I could be wrong. I read the book ages ago.

The Death eater attacks at the very start were amazing to see, but again these felt rushed and lacked the power they had in the book. The comedy torch's were great. Loved all the love potion confusion with Ron. He played these scenes brilliantly. All the young cast have really grown into their roles. Daniel Radcliff seems more at home with Harry in each film. I still find it difficult to watch him in the films 1 and 2.

Just back from Birmingham. It was my Aunties 70th birthday. She expected a quiet BBQ, but instead got a pub full of family and friends shouting surprise. She was totally blown away.

Ouch x 5....

I have five (yes five) extremely painful mouth ulcers driving me nuts!!! Anyone know any home cures? The Rinsted pastels are not good, and not that effective. The cost of other treatments this close to payday is a worry!

Pizza, pasta, ice cream, tennis....these are a few of my favorite things.

Off on holiday tomorrow. Lido de Jesolo in Italy
.

A nice quiet resort just outside Venice. One of the most stunning citys.
Looking forward to a good rest, great weather and some amazing sights and of course food!

I'll miss the finals, so hopefully I'll be cheering Andy on from some nice Italian bar....and maybe cheering on Federer a bit too!

It's a shame they both can't win!

Welcome to the jungle...(in a fashion)

Here are some pic's of my new plants. Bear i mind the first were only planted 10 days ago..

Lambs lettuce on the left, mixed leaves on the right....

Don't know if this is coriander or basil! Can't remember which I planted outside. The inside pot is both, one on each side.

A little bit of chilli....(nothing yet, got these from Lynn at work)

Cabbage walking sticks..(these grow HUGE, long way off yet!)
