Fabulous...

We all had a great time in London this weekend. The hotel was lovely with a not so bad view ( the tip of that domed building as seen in The Apprentice was the view from my window!) With a big fat breakfast buffet to boot....yum!

Priscilla Queen of the Desert.. Was one of the best theatre productions we'd all seen in a long time!

The screen to stage version transferred over really well. Concentrating more on the comedy, it was still very moving in parts. Jason Donovan was terrific, but the real star was Tony Sheldon who played aging transsexual Bernadette. When the show started the first half just flew by and it was impossible not to sit there smiling. An absolute feel good show.

There has been a lot of criticism about this being another "jukebox musical". It was much more than that, the musical numbers didn't seem to be just there for the sake of it. they really added to the story (Don't Leave Me This Way was sung at a funeral) and the way they were delivered made you think they were done especially for the show.

We all loved it, and really wanna go again!
